Dr John Ingram, Senior Lecturer & Consultant Dermatologist, Cardiff University
Dr John Ingram is a Senior Lecturer and Consultant Dermatologist in Cardiff. His research interests include inflammatory dermatoses, skin infections and antibiotic stewardship. He is a section editor for the British Journal of Dermatology and was recently awarded a NISCHR Health Fellowship to investigate the epidemiology of hidradenitis suppurativa.
Dr Elinor Coulman, Study Manager, Cardiff University
Dr Elinor Coulman is a Study Manager at the South East Wales Trials Unit (SEWTU), Cardiff University. She gained her PhD in the Welsh School of Pharmacy, Cardiff University and has managed a large, multicentred RCT Healthy Eating and Lifestyle in Pregnancy (HELP) Study.
Mr Tim Pickles, Research Assistant / Statistician, Cardiff University
Tim Pickles graduated from the University of Bath in 2009 with a first in Natural Sciences with Industrial Placement. Tim started working at Cardiff University as a Research Assistant in Statistics within SEWTU and also the School of Dentistry. Alongside his work, Tim undertook a part-time MSc in Operational Research and Applied Statistics, graduating with distinction in 2014. Tim also became a Research Associate in Statistics in 2014 and now works in SEWTU along with the newly formed CREATE centre.
Mr Scott Cawley, Podiatrist, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board
Scott Cawley works for the Podiatry Department of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board which enables him to work across all service provision of patient care, ensuring a seamless delivery. He is based at the University Hospital of Wales and is responsible for the delivery of Diabetic foot care across the Health Board. He represents All Wales Podiatry on the National Service Advisory Group for Diabetes.

Professor Kerenza Hood, Director of the South East Wales Trials Unit, Cardiff University
Kerry Hood is the Director of the South East Wales Trials Unit and the Research Design and Conduct Service for South East Wales. Both are funded by NISCHR as part of the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research, for which Kerry is the Chair of the Portfolio Group. Kerry has a degree and PhD in statistics and has worked specialising in primary care since being appointed the first lecturer in statistics in what was then the department of general practice in the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1997. Since setting up SEWTU in 2006 she has worked more broadly, but her main focus has still been in primary care.

Professor Keith Harding, Head of Wound Healing, Cardiff University
Professor Keith Harding has had a longstanding interest in wound healing. He has undergone training in both general surgery and general practice. He was appointed as the first Director of the Wound Healing Research Unit in 1991. From 2011 – 2013 he was Director of TIME Institute (Translation, Innovation, Methodology and Engagement) which is one of the largest institutes in the School of Medicine with around 200 staff and annual budget of £15 million and Head of Wound Healing Research Unit, School of Medicine, Cardiff University and Clinical Lead for Wound Healing in the Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust.

Dr Jon Gillard, Lecturer in Statistics, Cardiff University
Dr Jonathan Gillard is a lecturer in Statistics at Cardiff School of Mathematics, who studied for a PhD investigating measurement error models and their practical applications. One particular application involved developing optimal screening strategies for Down’s syndrome. Jonathan is currently working towards Chartered Statistician accreditation with the Royal Statistical Society, and has obtained a postgraduate qualification in learning and teaching.
